The Foundation currently administers seven scholarships for those undergraduate and/or seminary students planning to become pastors in the Nebraska Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church:
The Alva Clark Seminary Scholarship
The Cowles United Methodist Church Memorial Scholarship
The Alice Kruse Ministerial Scholarship
The Alice Kruse Seminary Scholarship
The Baldwin F. & Amy L. Kruse Scholarship
The Sylvia Miller Memorial Scholarship
The Albert R. Murdoch Ministerial Scholarship
These scholarships provide financial support for future Conference ministers. Each scholarship has its own application criteria based upon the wishes of the donors who established the funds. We encourage applicants to carefully review the guidelines for each scholarship to see if they qualify.
The Foundation accepts scholarship applications during May and June for the upcoming fall and spring semesters of that academic year. We notify all applicants by the beginning of August as to who the scholarship winners are. Upon notice of the awards, the scholarships are paid to the people to whom they were awarded in care of their educational institutions.
The application deadline is June 30, 2008, except for The Baldwin F. & Amy L. Kruse Scholarship, which is May 31, 2008.
